We watched Horton Hears a Who last night, it was so cute, I hope they make some more Dr. Suess films.
The sun is coming back out, yay! JD and I are seeing the new Harry Potter at some point this week - another yay!

Incidentally, it's my Dad's birthday today. He would have been 51. I love you and miss you Dad...always.

We've had an amazing week enjoying the sunshine. Summer in England is so different to Florida- it's not unbearably humid and you can actually breathe outside. It's breezy too. I love walking over Waterloo bridge on my way home from work- taking in the sights and sounds of the Southbank... it's awesome. I sometimes forget how lucky I am to be living here. And yet, I also miss home. Strange?

Work is shmerk but a lot better now since I can stare at the sunshine out my window. I've also been enjoying my break from the theatre. Oddly enough, what do I do when I have a break working at the theatre? Go to watch theatre! Me & Twis saw Spring Awakening the musical on Saturday. It was amazing. Loved it loved it loved it. If it tours near you, go see it!! Not a lot else going on- we're going to my friend Kathy's this Saturday for a cookout, which should be fun.

So my crazy life will soon be coming to a slower pace- the show opened yesterday and went really well for opening night. It closes this Saturday and then I will be on a break until September! Woo! I feel like a kid who's being let out of school for the summer. Seriously though, it feels like I have been working two jobs since January.

My husband and I will be celebrating our three year wedding anniversary on the 13th of June, so I'm mostly looking forward to that!

The sun is out and it's warm... wait, are we still talking about England? Yes, that's right! And I hope the sun sticks around for a while!

So, my life has been crazy busy recently. My mom and step-dad came over for 10 days, which was really cool. We also went to Spain, which was lovely. I'm directing two one-act plays at the moment, they open in two weeks. That kind of takes up 85% of my time these days. I'll be so happy not to be doing anything down at the theatre for a while after this.

Work is going better- we got another bonus incentive so yay! JD is applying for another job within his company and I really hope he gets it. We need to save more £. Seeing Coraline tonight. The book was wicked so I'm hoping the film will be as good- there have been a lot of positive reviews- and oh yeah it's in 3D. We're also seeing Romeo & Juliet at the Globe tomorrow. I'm so busy right now im walking around like a freakin zombie! Lack of sleep....I'm reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer (author of Twilight) and it's really good and totally different to the vampire stuff. We've also gotten into the American version of The Office and have watched about 10 episodes already - it's hilarious- Steve Carrell is my hero.

I want a pop tart..............................

I loved every minute of it :) it's so sad that it had to end but we'll be taking it to the Woking Drama Festival so it's not over quite yet. Meanwhile, Sunday was the next show auditions, which didn't go so well. There weren't enough actors present to cast the show. So we've had to move the One-Acts production into this time slot instead...which means I'm directing- again. Yes, back to back. The auditions are tomorrow night. I'm going to audition for one of the shows I'm not actually directing but I think that's it as I'll have my plate pretty full...

My parents come over in just two weeks time- wow! can't believe how fast time flew by. It's a lovely March spring afternoon- I'm sitting at my desk at work looking out the window and wishing I was at the park reading a good book...

Tonight I'm making sloppy joes for dinner and cuddling up on the couch...

Sunday was a really hard day for me...four months since Dad died. Sometimes I just break down and fall to pieces. I'm doing better- and with my show opening this Wednesday it's really given me something to focus on. Yes, this Wednesday- IE tomorrow! Everyone has been so great, the cast have been absolutely superb- they are going to blow people away. I can't wait. Tonight we're going for Thai food as a cast and crew to celebrate and take a load off before tomorrow...

Other than that, my parents will be here in 25 days, work is still ok but not amazing, the weather is slightly warmer now, I have been taking lots more pictures, and JD and I have officially "been together" for nearly 5 years (on the 27th).

Life is good. It's weird when you step outside yourself and see that life is slowing moving by, each day is moving forward... I can't believe I never really noticed time moving before.

So here I am at work again, writing in my livejournal- it's been a while again. The play opens in 12 days, wow. I can't believe it! The cast is amazing and Twis and Kathy have been stars. I've been worrying about it constantly - as you do as a show nears opening. I just want to make sure everything is as good as it canbe! I'll post some pics if I can but only a few- I've got a flickr.com account now- so check that out! I'm under Brittany Rex, search for me. I update it often.

The weather is quite cold again. It was warming up last week then we headed back into a cold snap. It's even snowing again in some places. This weekend I'm relaxing with JD, cleaning our apartment, the usual fun stuff... We've nearly beat Kingdom Hearts on the PS2 so we might try to finish that off.

London is still London- the bustling city that I seem not to notice as much anymore, which makes me sad. I want to rekindle my love for it by exploring more places and taking pictures! All I need in order to do this is more time... I'd love to photograph Camden properly and head down to Greenwich to the park in the Spring.

I've been listening to a lot of Panic! At the Disco, Paramore, White Stripes and Rihanna...music as ever, keeps me sane.
My parents are coming over in four and a half weeks, eep! Will be good times. I miss my family, friends and Abby! (Moth, you need to call me!). We watched Cloverfield last weekend, which was good- I didn't get motion sickness but had to look away a few times...it's worth a watch but not something I'd want to own.

We just renewed our contract on our flat so we're here for another year at least. I'm trying to save more money to move back home. It's kind of working. Anyway- just to let you all know we're ok and busy busy busy

Between work and directing the show I barely have time to turn around twice.

The show is going great. I am enjoying it so much, we open in one month! I am so happy I am directing it, it's changed my life and the way I look at certain things. Sarah Kane is one of my favourite playwrights. I hope to act or direct another one of her plays in the future. But right now, I'm savouring the moment.

Work is extremely busy! We've had our system revamped a little, my manager is pregnant and taking leave in May and there will be some changes due to that that we will have to take on. Unfortunately, they've stopped overtime, which sucks cos I'm poor right now.

JD and I saw Avenue Q last Tuesday. It was awesome! I totally loved it- it was the best musical I have ever seen, after Wicked of course. I would recommend it to anyone, it's hilarious! This Saturday I'm going to see The Merchant of Venice with some friends in Kingston and then we have rehearsal on Sunday. I found out that Jack's Mannequin is coming to London but tickets are already sold out, major bummer!
In other news, I read a crazy ass story about a chimp who mauled at 50 year old woman in Connecticut. I heard the 911 call- which was chilling and kind of nervously funny in a messed up way.

It's getting a bit warmer- it's in the 50's now. At least it's not snowing anymore! We had 18 inches two weeks ago and the whole of London came to a stand still. There were no trains, tube or buses- so if you didn't walk into work then you got to stay home. I was lucky and got to stay home for two days!

We started watching a new TV show here while waiting for Chuck series 2 to premiere...it's called Psych! I know it's old but the UK is behind and so we get these shows way after the US- annoying but at least we get them. Also been watching America's Next Top Model, which is strangely fascinating. Again, it's the last season not the current one- cos we're behind here.

I think that's about it. My life is really busy right now but it's good. I can't believe it's nearly March!
